I don’t know if they are ordained by Novus ordo bishops??

What does that matter? What is a “Novus Ordo priest” and a “Novus Ordo bishop”? How is he different from a priest ordained in the traditional rite?

In our parish we have a bunch of masses every weekend. Our pastor celebrates one of the masses as EF. So he does both. I don’t think that you can say he is one or the other.

My pastor and parochial vicar are both diocesan priests who celebrate both EF and OF masses.

Maybe a good question would be: are seminarians taught how to celebrate both the OF and EF Masses?

I’ve never been to an EF Mass. Evidently there are extra prayers and rubrics and such that happen during an EF.

To answer your question, yes, diocesan priests are “Novus Ordo priests” as you call them, though some also celebrate TLM in addition to NO. And even exclusively TLM priests are ordained by the same bishops because afaik there aren’t bishops for TLM exclusively, except SSPX. For example, FSSP ordinations are done by regular bishops - fssp doesn’t have its own bishop.

Some bishops aren’t crazy about the TLM but others love it, support it and offer it themselves. One example is Archbishop Sample. 💜
