Are home Masses allowed to stretch the rules?

Greetings,

I am trying to determine if a home Mass is legitimate. I’ve been to one so far and I felt very uncomfortable with the whole concept including sitting in a circle in someone’s house and passing the consecrated bread and wine from person to person stating “Body of Christ” and Blood of Christ." There was a priest presiding over the ceremony. So if anyone knows if this is legit I’d love to know.

Hi,

Mass celebrated in a home is subject to the same rubrics as Mass celebrated in Church. There is NO passing of the Eucharist from one person to the other while sitting in a circle!
