Hello,
I recently read an article on the internet in which some protestant pastor argued that homeopathy, acupuncture, tai-chi, qi-qong, and so on, are not acceptable for Christians. He argued that the “energy” these practices try to harness comes from the devil and that it is akin to dabbling in so-called “white” magic.
Somehow, this reminds me of warnings against New Age practices.
What is your take on this issue? Should a Catholic stick with traditional western medicine, which is scientifically sound, or may we occasionally resort to acupuncture and homeopathy (especially when traditional medicine does not seem to help)?
