Are marriage traditionalists gagged in same-sex marriage debate?

I’ve noticed over the last year or so that opponents of same-sex marriage are no longer given air time on TV or print articles in major newspapers. I don’t even see Fox News giving talk time to traditional marriage supporters. Am I wrong in this perception? Are traditional marriage supporters still given a voice in the popular media?

In two words…YES and NO. All one hears about these days are the supporters of unnatural vice and unnatural ‘marriage’. Opponents are labeled as ‘homophobic’ and ‘intolerant’ and muzzled in the mainstream media, both print and visual.

I’m still sick at heart that my home state of New York legalized homosexual (I will not say ‘gay’) ‘marriage’ last month. I still ask myself, ‘Where were our Catholic Bishops in this? Why did they not fight hard enough and tough enough and say that this is WRONG, PLAIN AND SIMPLE?’

My state-and this country and our world-is going down the tubes morals-wise. The only thing left to say is, ‘Come, dear Lord, come…we can’t take much more of this…come’

The people who are conservative for fiscal reasons run FOX. They see social conservatism as an impediment to political power in some ways. They are entirely mistaken. Without social conservatives they are just greedy businessmen who would be eaten up by the class warfare strategy that the democrats typically employ. We should make sure they understand that without us it would be like Russia 1917 for them. We don’t need them, they need us. We do what we do for the love of G-d. they do it for the love of money. So if they want to hitch a ride on our wagon they need to cooperate with our goals because for them, we are the only game in town.

I don’t think the OP is imagining the slant at all. And even the term pushing an agenda would be a mild description of it. It is an upfront effort at propaganda domination. There are no two ways about it. When I hear the ultra-left social engineers bitterly complaining on every single MSNBC daily program – Ratigan, Matthews (the worst mouthpiece ever!), ODonnell, and the lot of them – about the ultra-conservatives in the Republican Party & the current budget impasse, I want to scream at them: You invited this. You created a reaction by social conservatives. You have promoted for years an amoral triumphalism by which you uniquely define “America” and “progress.” You, by your dominating & mocking extremism, promote an opposing reaction to that extremism which affects the very harmonious functioning of the government.
