Are Non-Catholic Marriages valid in eyes of the Church?

If the believer “must not divorce” the unbeliever as long as the unbeliever is willing to live with the believer (1 Cor 7:12-14), then this tells me that God recognizes marriages that occur between non-Catholics. Why, then, does the Catholic Church call “invalid” what it appears God recognizes as a marriage?
 
I think you are misinformed. Non-Catholics marriages are considered valid. Anytime two individuals who are free to marry (i.e. no prior marriages) exchange marital vows the marriage is considered valid. If the two are validly baptized it is a valid sacramental marriage. If one of them is not baptized it is a valid natural marriage.

The only caveat is that Catholics are required to be married in the Catholic Church to have a valid marriage.
