Are only Catholics saved?

Brother, you have been misinformed. The quote from the Catechism you give is followed by the words: “this affirmation is not aimed at those who, through no fault of their own, do not know Christ and his Church” (no. 847). I presume that you have taken this quote from someone who decided not to give the whole passage. But as it stands, leaving out as it does the Catechism’s statement that non-Catholics can be saved, this is not a belief of the Catholic faith, but another sort of belief.

And it is a quite pompous one. One should be careful with this belief on the day of judgement. Other denominations love Christ and know him more than many many Catholics. In my experience Catholicism has produced many lukewarm believers. I do not agree and will not. God is all loving and if you know, accept, love, and experience Christ you will not be forsaken. does not make logical sense that there is someone checking to ensure you made your Confirmation in heaven. What about the OT Jews?
