Are revolutions always unjust?

If a war needs to be waged by the proper authority to be just (according to the just war doctrine of the CCC), does that mean all revolutions are unjust? What about the american revolution?

Not every revolutionary war is automatically just. But as I indicated when you asked this privately, the American revolution was indeed justified.
