Are there any Catholics here who do not believe in what happened at Fatima?

Honestly, it doesn’t bother me that some don’t believe in it. But I for one do believe in it and am grateful for such miracles. But in the end, it really is a personal thing isn’t it?

That’s kind of interesting, you don’t believe it for one of the main reasons that I do believe it; the matters that the children report as messages from the angel and from the Lady are’nt really at all within the scope of the imagination of three children living in this small Portugese town at that time, in fact I don’t think most of it was within the scope of the imagination or speculation of many of the adults at that time. They said they were told things like, fashions will be introduced which are immodest and indecent. The children never had any exposure to anything other than the plain and simple dress of the portugese catholic of their culture, their little world had never been contaminated with the decadence of western modernism, how would they make up such a thing, they probably didn’t even know what indecent dress looked like and if they did why would they think a prediction like that would bring them approval. They also said they were told that the marriages would be bad, again a shocking prediction for it’s time and that place but another that undeniably has come true on a world wide scale in the 20th and 21st centuries. They probably didn’t even fathom what a bad marriage could be let alone have known of any yet in their short lives. Was there even one divorce that any of them had ever heard of? I’m sure if there had been even one I’ll doubt it was ever spoken of by people there, especially not to children. They were told that they must pray and offer up penances for poor sinners who were destined to hell, even the most strictly trained child does not fabricate such a horrible vision, and then attach it to their beloved Mother Mary.
In the messages prayers are to be made for the conversion of Russia, at the time I don’t even know if it can be demonstrated that any of them knew where Russia is, but even if they did it would have been absolutely impossible for them to have known what no one else in the world knew that was about to take place in Russia, that being the murderous overthrow of the Czar who was a Christian Monarch and his entire family by the Atheist Marxist Bolshevik Communists. If the timelines match up and I can’t prove they do but the statement about the conversion of Russia took place even as the plot in St.Petersburg was already underway with cooperation from some higher ups of the Russian Orthodox Church. Again a prediction that another World War worse than the first one would begin, no one could in their worst nightmares imagine at the time a war that could have been worse than WWI, which was so horrific that it was called the “war to end all wars”.
If the children made all of this up how is it that everything that they said has been seen to come totally true?
It is significant that there are no signs of dissent! 🙂
