Are there any non-catholic saints?

I think it is fantastic that Catholics recognize that there are "Protestants "/saints in Heaven.

My understanding is that ALL Christians are Catholic by virtue of their Baptism. Or perhaps a better way to put it: all Christians are Christians and owe the Pope and the Roman Catholic Church obediance. The Pope and the Catholic Church IS the Christian Church on Earth. Is this a false understanding?

Do you think protestants hold to CC understanding ?

Actually I did read earlier, thanks. The vast majority of those on the list have never been canonized by the Church and never will be seeing as they worked in direct opposition to Her. That list is completely immaterial to the topic at hand.

Jesus said you are either for me and against me, referring to other believers/workers/preachers/disciples outside the “twelve”/main group for lack of a better phrasing, didn’t He ? If some of those graced men on that list were opposed to Her ( His church) by Jesus own words are they not anathema ?

I have no idea how non-catholics achieve a state of grace - that is a question that only God can answer.

As a Catholic
I do the best I can to follow the way of Christ.
I listen to the wisdom of the Church and try to follow Her wisdom.
I pray for God’s mercy and
I go to confession (certainly not near enough).

Certainly in all cases “humility” is important. That is a difficult thing for all of us.

The Church does address I think in that it does recognize that thru Christ and her Church all blessings/grace flows even to Protestants (those" others"), and obviously despite not believing/practicing all the CC sacraments. Am I right that the C. Church teaches we (others) have possibility of salvation, that we have the same destination, despite not being on the mother ship ? Is there spiritual life beyond CC sacramental experience and graces ?

Jesus gave the apostles the ability to bind and lose things on earth. This was something angels and archangels were not even given. It is why Catholics believe men are called to the priesthood by God -it isn’t for everyone. The priesthood is where Jesus can administer the help we need through man via the sacraments he instituted. The sacraments are how salvation is possible and it is not a coincidence that there are 7 either. When Jesus said I will be with you until the end of time he meant it.

Wouldn’t one be confused cause some on that long list lived very holy sacirficing lives, and you could not tell which one rested /lived on 2 sacraments and which on 4 or 7 ? Why do "others " show it is possible for salvation with only 2 sacraments ?
