What are some good resources to introduce oneself to the Eastern Rites especially in regards for one who might be curious about learning the traditions and devotions of the Eastern Churches? Additionally, does the Eastern Rite allow one to view (and perhaps emulate) how the earliest Christians (up to the Apostles) practiced the Faith or not necessarily?

Since there are a few eastern traditions there are rites which arise from each.

CCEO Canon 28
  1. A rite is the liturgical, theological, spiritual and disciplinary patrimony, culture and circumstances of history of a distinct people, by which its own manner of living the faith is manifested in each Church sui iuris.
  2. The rites treated in this code, unless otherwise stated, are those which arise from the Alexandrian, Antiochene, Armenian, Chaldean and Constantinopolitan traditions.
See CNEWA for an overview of the eastern Catholics: http://www.cnewa.org/default.aspx?ID=123&pagetypeID=9&sitecode=HQ&pageno=1

Living the faith as an image of Christ is Theosis and is called divinization in the western tradition. Catechism
1988 Through the power of the Holy Spirit we take part in Christ’s Passion by dying to sin, and in his Resurrection by being born to a new life; we are members of his Body which is the Church, branches grafted onto the vine which is himself:36
[God] gave himself to us through his Spirit. By the participation of the Spirit, we become communicants in the divine nature. . . . For this reason, those in whom the Spirit dwells are divinized.37

The Divine Liturgy is the place to start, if you have access to it. A year spent immersed in the life of a parish, going to all the services, etc., will be your best introduction to Eastern practice and traditions.

If you don’t have access to a parish near, I would still start with a study of the Divine Liturgy of the rite that you are interested in.

The Eastern churches have their own practices that have evolved over the centuries. I don’t think they are necessarily close to the practice of the Apostles.

101 Questions and Answers on Eastern Catholic Churches (101 Questions & Answers) by Faulk may get you in the direction you want.

My priest just ordered a bunch of them . . .

Your profile pic looks different, but I can’t exactly say what changed? Did you get a haircut (and new glasses)?

I sat for a portrait; it’s only recently ready 😜🤣

Actually, that’s the logo for my bankruptcy software that my oldest daughter made.

Wearing a large version on my shirt at conferences, I’ve been told there’s a resemblance.

It’s actually drawn from 14th Dynasty heiroglyphs, with the glyph being pronounced roughly “ha”.

For the logo, I turned the head towards the reader, and added the reading glasses . . .

The Code of Canon Law for the Eastern Churches should really be priming.

There are youtube videos of eastern liturgies right online you can view from the comfort of your home.

If you live relatively close to an eastern rite church, they’d be glad to see you.

Except that it shouldn’t really exist . . . the act of promulgating it from Rome is inconsistent with Rome’s general teachings on the eastern churches, eastern ecclesiology, and the terms of union governing the relations of some of these churches and Rome . . .

hawk, who really wants to see some EC primates jointly for a Congregation for the Occidental Church 😱🤣
