Bl. John Henry Newman was a protestant bishop. He’s a blessed, and soon to be canonized.

St. Edmund Campion was a protestant deacon before he became Catholic.

St. Cuthbert Mayne was a protestant minister in charge of a church before he became Catholic. He was also at one point a protestant chaplain at a college.

Just wanted to clarify some points. Blessed John Henry Newman was an Anglican clergyman, but was never higher than that. Even as a Catholic, he was never a bishop but was created a cardinal by Pope Leo XIII.

There is a second possible miracle being investigated so no decision to canonize has been made.
