No, it seems we both agree. I’d be vexed if it were any other way. The church is eternal and has always been with man as has been God.
As for the traditions and ceremonies (going back to the original subject after a long detour), I’m not clear at all on their histories. We know John baptised but I am unaware if the ancient Jews did as a rule. Christians do though. I’m not sure at all what happened to the Jubilees and the Passovers and the live animal sacrifices. Some would say they’re done away with the Law of Moses but animal sacrifices preceeded the law of Moses. I expect that’s a subject best left to some other thread.
