Are there Christian spiritual groups? Like, the Sufi muslims of Kabbalah Jews, or so on. Like hardcore spiritual groups, not like Moks though.
I’m sure there are plenty of Christian groups that could be classified as “Christian spiritual groups”, however “hardcore spiritual groups” certain forms of monasticism and certain groups of nuns are really the only ones I would go as far as calling “hardcore”, there are cases where both groups will go days without food, or only sustain themselves on the Holy Eucharist, the desert fathers, the monks of Mt Athos, the Franciscans and so on are all good examples of “hardcore Christians”, if you are interested in this I would highly recommend reading the desert fathers:Are there Christian spiritual groups? In that case, please do watch. It is a documentary that follows an Anglican priest into the desert as he “try’s out” the hardcore practices of these desert monastics (Oriental Orthodox monks I believe), who practice the form of monasticism that the “mac daddy” (lol) of desert fathers St Anthony the Great practiced.Hey any response is a good response.
