Are there some some objective standards for modesty?

If you dress to incite lust id say that’s objectively bad.
That is correct, and the only person who can make a judgement on why a person dresses the way they do is that person. It is not about how they are dressed, or what they wear, it is about why the dress like that. It is interesting that the main thrust of this thread is about how others dress.

Some people, and groups of people are misunderstood in this regard. For example many women from the traveller community in the UK dress in a way that outsiders may consider inappropriate for Mass, but they are most certainly not dressing this way to incite lust amongst others (absolutely not) they are simply dressing up for a special occasion (Mass) and aiming to look their best. The fact that this is misinterpreted by others is not their issue, but is the issue of the person who misinterprets how they are dressed.

I know there’s a dress code at my parish but I think its for weddings.

When it comes to mass I don’t personally think there should be a dress code. I don’t enjoy the “temptation” I get from how some females like to dress but that’s my problem more than theirs.
