Several years ago here in Kansas there was a case where a baby girl was born without arms. I can’t remember if she was born with or without legs. Anyway, the mother had an ultrasound during pregnancy. This had showed up in that, but the parents weren’t told. They sued for “wrongful birth.” They stated that had they known about this, they would have aborted the baby. Of course, they claimed to love the child, but think of the affect it would have had on her as she grew up to know that her parents would have had an abortion instead of letting her live with her condition.
