Are we forgiven before we go to reconcilation?

hi, i am unable to make a confession appointmen before the Easter Vigil. If i intend to go to confession as soon as possible, am I already forgiven and may i recieve communion?

I’m in agreement with you. Sadly, I’ve even had a priest tell me something contrary. 😦
