we got married the day after Christmas (a Friday that year) spent the first two days of our honeymoon at in-laws watching football, while my father in law just sat in his chair and laughed at me. When we left Monday morning for Cleveland, he gave us his wedding present-a TV set, I almost threw it at him. Have never celebrated New Years Eve that did not involve a bowl game. What do normal people do?

I like it sometimes more than my husband…well, college ball at least. Will be watching some of the bowl games 👍

He rarely watches…

But, I am a computer game widow! Course he could say the same about me and the time I spend on this forum:whistle:

I’m a Playstation II widow 😃 . But to me that’s at least more interesting to watch than football, and it doesn’t interupt the holidays. We don’t watch TV so it’s hubby’s source of entertainment/ down time after work.

Hey WhiteDove,

My daughter-in-law is a football widow…😛 …my son played in high school and in college…I went to every game…:banghead: …need I say anymore???
I HATE FOOTBALL!!!

My husband doesn’t watch football.
The only sports he watches are motorsports like NASCAR and motocross, or hunting shows and bullriding (PBR). And we BOTH watch because we enjoy all those sports together! Thats one reason we are married - common interests!
👍

My hubby is completely useless to me on Sunday’s. Now that college ball is over, the uselessness starts on Saturday night. I do like football but not when it interferes with family stuff.

Happy Anniversary, Annie!

Heck, I couldn’t beat 'em, so I joined em! I love football!!

Growing up New Year’s games were great. It turned into a whole extended family event and was quite fun. Most of the women didn’t watch the game, but had card games going instead. My husband loves football, but he is great around the house, with the kids, etc. I really can’t complain. I guess I’m just lucky that we don’t live in an area that covers (for free 🙂 ) his favorite team!

Of course, Army football games are never missed in our house - if not televised it is on the radio! Go Army football!!

I am the football fanatic in our house, although he does enjoy watching some of the games with me. I don’t watch all the availble games every week, just the one my team ( Carolina Panthers) is playing. We used to host a Superbowl party every year, reguardless of of who was in it, but now we just cook a special dinner for thr two of us, that way we actually get to watch the game.

My husband watches football, but only the forth quarter. The rest of the time, he is doing something else and it;s just on. He says I can’t change the channel in case he misses a touchdown or something though!! LOL!!

When I was younger I watched it a lot myself. At least it was live TV and you could never be sure what would happen. But my husband doesn’t care a lick about it, and in fact before I started dating him I actually saw him in KMart during the Super Bowl.
