Yes, one of the priests in our parish regularly attends a prayer group we’re part of. He also attends other family functions.

While it’s great to visit with him & wonderful for our family to have him as part of our lives, it makes it difficult for me to go to confession & reveal some more embarassing sins. My children, on the other hand, would rather go to him than anybody else because they know him. So I will just go to another priest if I’m too embarassed.

He’s a great influence on our family.

I am very close to our Priest. He was new to the parish when my father died and he opened himself up to us and made us feel better about the situation. He is real big on “coming over to eat” and brings it up all the time at Mass. We have grown close also as friends. I can talk about anything and I have no problem with confession because that is what he is there for to help us through the difficult times, to notice a pattern if there is one. As a matter of fact we have planned our vacation together, we all ride motorcycles, and are going to Knoxville. I also don’t know what we would do if he was transferred out of the area.

I do not communicate with my Priest at all or with anybody in church when I go to Mass because I am not that comfortable engaging in interpersonal communication face to face with individuals.
