Are you obligated to avoid everything that makes you aroused? Or even something that makes you feel like you’re going down the roller coaster?
 
Yes. Avoid it - as a personal choice.

You’re not obligated to - unless you belong to a religious order - lol

Be balanced - as best you can.
Now some saints - were so incredibly balanced - that they felt and saw - everything - as God’s will.
They were not often sad or happy - but balanced - solid !
