If you haven’t heard of Life Chain, here’s a brief description:
Once you know where the signs are being passed out (a street corner or a church, for example), you drive there shortly before the beginning of the hour. You hold a prolife sign for an hour near or on a sidewalk next to a busy street. Prayers and ideas for things to meditate on are printed on the back of the sign. If people flip you off while driving by or act in other rude ways, you do not say or do anything in reply, just stand there peacefully and pray for them. If you can’t stand for the whole hour, it’s fine if you bring a folding chair. I’ve done this for as long as I can remember and nobody has ever come up to me and said rude things or harassed me. Some people actually give us a thumbs-up or honk from their cars.
Here’s the website. Please find the nearest Life Chain and participate. If there is no Life Chain in your area this year, maybe that means God is calling you to work with your church and organize it for next year.
