The incident in Acts 15 is enough to debunk the “some ECFs disagreed” logic. In Acts 15, there were legitimate Church elders who disagreed as to whether circumcision was necessary to be in the Church. Just because there was “disagreement” it did not stop the Church from settling the matter in the council in Acts 15. CRI doesn’t seem to factor in Church authority as the discerner of authentic Tradition.
