We, ourselves, normally do not use the designation “Syriac Catholic” but rather the “Syro-” prefix. We do, however, use the term “Syriac Churches” when speaking of our shared patrimony, etc.

I don’t think I’ve heard that exact phrase too much, but I know “Syriac Christians” is used a lot.
