It looks like Fox may be cancelling the show “Arrested Development”. I have watched the show before and found it funny. However, someone from my church said it was immoral and I shouldn’t watch it. Does anyone else feel that way?

I think it is immoral, but not any worse than 90% of all of TV. My New Years resolution is to read a lot more and watch a lot less TV.

You ultimately have to use prudence to determine if the poisen you see is worth the good of being entertained. Honestly I used to evaluate TV based on how entertaining it was, until I was separated from TV for about two years. When I came back to it I was shocked to see how much **** there was in TV that I never noticed.

My advice. Throw the thing out the window or lock it to EWTN.

Better yet I decided to buy some nice educational DVD’s and watch them instead of TV when I felt the need to veg out.

I went through the entire Fr. Corapi catechism series and several other nice series. It was very nice to get home from work collapse on the couch and watch TV but be edified by it instead of morally erroded.

never heard of the program, I don’t watch the networks, but by reputation, if it is on fox, hbo or showtime it is guaranteed to be immoral and a danger to the soul of anyone watching it. the more hyped the previews the more degrading the show and its premise. If it is on nbc, abc or cbs, there is a 90% probability it is immoral in premise and content, I will grant the remote possibility that the networks might slip up and air a show that does not offend and demean every major religious group, race and gender, I mean it could happen.

It’s hilarious…one of the last good sitcoms on (and its NOTHING like the rest of Fox’s programming.) Of course it has things such as premarital sex (but what doesnt?) It’s very funny and intelligent, and it really does make an effort to teach morals. Premise - a corrupt business man gets in trouble for money laundering or something and his spoiled family but learn to live without money, lead by the help of the only “good” son, Michael, a widowed father. The ratings are poor because no one gets it, but it really is so funny, with very likable characters.

Heh I’m going to agree with siamese, Arrested Development is probably the funniest show I’ve ever seen. Too bad it’s getting canceled. How this show dies and Family Guy keeps kicking I’ll never know…
