As a Catholic, how do you respond when the Protestants ask, are you saved??

If they are trying to convert me, I ask them to open their Bible and read Matthew 7:15 out loud. Then I say “Goodbye!”

Tell heretics that one can not say that he is already saved because you are not a judge of yourself.
You ought to learn the meaning of the word heretic before you throw it around like a hand grenade.

Only a baptized Catholic can be a heritic.

Heresy is when a baptized Catholic refuses to believe something revealed by God through the Church or knowingly teaches something counter to that which God has revealed through the Church. Someone who was never baptized can’t be a heritic. Someone who was never Catholic can’t be a heritic.

Let’s not use the language of the Church in a way in which the Church herself does not use lest we become what we accuse others of being.

From the Catholic Dictionary
heretic
A person professing heresy. Ecclesiastical law distinguishes between a formal heretic, as one who is sinfully culpable, and a material heretic, who is not morally guilty for professing what may be objectively heretical doctrine.
While a Protestant may not be a formal heretic, they are a material heretic.
