As a layman....what rule of life should you have?

I typed out the following excerpt from a Ukrainian Rite prayerbook from the 1950’s that was published by the Redemptorists. It is latinized so actually Traditional Latin Catholics would probably enjoy it as well.

Although I read through a little quickly, I like what I see. It’s a fine guide to disciplining one’s life according to the Faith.

I’m also studying Saint Benedict’s Rule, which as we all know had an enormous impact on the Church and those who tried to imitate it.
