Pat Conrad MD takes umbrage at some recent Covid-19 safety recommendations. I’m not quite sure where to put this, but from a Catholic standpoint, it would seem that there are some moral theology considerations involved, not to mention medical ethics.

 
I read it, and I don’t think it is particularly far removed either from a Catholic or a medical standpoint.

Keep in mind that an M.D. is’not necessarily going to give a “Catholic answer” to the question. I read him to be saying that from a medical answer standpoint, the matter he is responding to is idiotic. It is also idiotic from a Catholic standpoint.
 
Yes, idiotic from several viewpoints. One hopes that idiocy is not becoming the new normal, but the trends are disturbing.
 
I always have too much time on my hands; but Dr. Conrad is a full time ER doc.

If we lockdown nonessential parts of the internet then the spread of idiocy should slow so that it doesn’t overwhelm us.
