Dear Protestant brothers and sisters this Teaching form the Lord was only addressed to the Apostles for only they and their successors by the laying on of hands receive the Power from the Holy Spirit to forgive YOUR SINS, MY SINS, etc…
Protestants, why did not Jesus just tell His Apostles to tell us Sinners have them come directly to me so that I Jesus Can forgive them their sins? Hmmm Why? Because Jesus Christ left His Church in charge of US ALL! We must all go to confession with a Priest, this is the Lords Teachings not a man made teaching, but the Lords Teaching. And if you choose to go directly to the Lord to have you sins forgiven good, but not wise for you are rejecting here one of the Lords teachings that we must do in order to have your sins forgiven by the Church, and if you don’t then again you just added one more sin upon YOU! A sin of disobedience, and there is no place for disobedience in Heaven.
Yes, throughout the day I Go directly to Jesus Christ and ask Him to forgive me my sins again this is good, but then I also do what HE has taught me to do and that is to go to His Catholic Church see a priest and have my sins forgiven now that is following the Teaching of the Lord. Thank you Jesus!

But when we sin against God and His Church Such Like having sex without being married, if one has committed adultry, you know if you have broken any of the Ten Commandments, for these you must go, must go, to see a priest a successor of the Apostles in order for you to be forgiven or have your sins or have your sins retained.
The Catholic Church has the Right to To say LORD, LORD because the Catholic Church puts into practice this teaching and all the other Teachings that Jesus Christ has given to the Church. Amen.
