As we prepare to commemorate the Institution of the Holy Mass, Our Lord’s Suffering and Death for our redemption, and as we await His Glorious Resurection, I would like to ask the pardon of any whom I may have offended or hurt in any posting I made to these fora. I am sincerely sorry for eliciting any anger or hurt in any of my brothers and sisters in Christ, and I am most grievously sorry for any sadness or anger any action of mine may have caused to Our Blessed Lord. I ask your and His pardon and forgiveness and I do assure my heartfelt forgiveness to any who desire it. I will remember you all in my prayers at Mass tonight.

While I will try to mind my p’s and q’s in the future, this doesn’t mean I’ve gone soft.

I posted this in the traditional forum, where I reckon most of my offenses have been committed.

Ah, my friend, you know we agree to disagree. Say no more. At the very least remember the words of Robert Burns -

“Oh, the gift to gie us, to see us as others see us.” Your posts serve that function.

May you have a blessed Triduum and may you have a little Latin in your Triduum…an Ubi Caritas and Pange Lingua on Holy Thursday; an Adoramus Te Christe on Good Friday; and a Lumen Christe on Holy Saturday followed by a rousing Regina Coeli on Easter Sunday. 😃

May you have a blessed Easter.

It’s a little late, already Good Friday here, however I too would like to ask pardon of any CAF-ers who I may have offended. :crossrc: :bowdown2:

I too would like to ask for pardon for some of my posts here.

Ah Brotherhrolf, I envy your Cathedral very much ;). Although here we had a nice Ave Verum Corpus during Communion, the Pange Lingua during the procession to the Altar of Repose in the Lady Chapel where the Bishop and the clergy knelt and sang the Tantum Ergo 🙂

I’ll be going back to pray the Rosary soon.

Have a Blessed Easter everyone 😃

The final two verses of the Pange Lingua…Tantum ergo sacramentum…sung as the Holy Eucharist is reserved in the tabernacle on Holy Thursday. The lifting of triumphant voices for the Genitori, genitoque…and then …the night watch.

For us, our Bishop and priests process into the cathedral to the stark beat of a military drum at high noon on Good Friday. Boom! Boom! Boom! Echoes of Calvary…

And then the seven readings on Holy Saturday as the sun sets and illuminates the stained glass windows showing the first Joseph and scenes from the early life of St. Joseph in the cathedral’s windows. And then the sung Exultet…

I cry every year with the beauty of it all. I wish we could be like our orthodox brethren and exit the cathedral and say “Christos anesti!” “Alithos anestisti!” Christ has risen! Indeed, He has risen!"

Ditto and a Blessed Good Friday to all.

We did have a good bit of Latin, thus far, both the Ubi Caritas and Pange Lingua!

While I know I never offend anyone, I will also offer my own sincere apologies to anyone who mistakenly thought that I did so.

:o

And I also pray for a blessed remainder of the Triduum, and an even more blessed Easter, to all.

Just a reminder for all those drawn to pray The Divine Mercy Novena through the Holy Spirit, it begins today, Good Friday.

May all of you rest in Him this Good Friday as we prepare for His rising on Easter Sunday!

In Him,
SingtotheLord
with praise and thanksgiving!
