Ash wedensday fast

Hi,
I had only one meal today for super after I went to mass (fish and fries and biscut and drink)
I was wondering when the fast is over. I am planning on having a bowl of cereal at midnight as i usually eat late at night anyway. Since it will technically be thursday will this be ok?
 
Since you are allowed one full meal plus two smaller meals, it wouldn’t matter if you had it before midnight or not.

But yes, midnight is the end of one day and the start of another.

Right, but it wasn’t always like that.
Back in Biblical times, the day ended at Sundown.
This made is quite easy to ascertain when the day is over.

Today, the Jews STILL consider a new day arrives at Sundown.
So, for anyone who is having trouble making it all the way to Midnight … just convert to Judaism for 20 minutes (Jesus was Jewish, I’m sure He’d approve).
