Ash Wednesday Mass Twice?

I need to attend the evening Ash Wednesday service tomorrow with my RCIA for some purpose connected to my RCIA class. (Sorry - I’m not clear on what it is. I’ll ask at RCIA tonight!)

The mass is at 7, which is too late my sons. They will stay home with my husband.

I would like to take them to an Ash Wednesday mass. There is a noon service we can attend. Should I get the ashes twice myself? Of just the boys at the earlier one and myself later? Is it okay to go twice?

I don’t think there is a prohibition on getting the ashes twice, but it just seems to me that just once would be recommended.
