Are non-catholic Christians allowed to receive ashes in a Roman Catholic church on Ash Wednesday? I believe the answer is “yes,” however, I would appreciate confirmation.

Ask the priest of the church you are thinking about going to because answers here be varied and not always correct. The safest is simply ask the priest. He won’t mind and then you be sure

Yes. The ashes are not a Sacrament, but a sacramental, which anyone can receive.

I read in the church bulletin, that non catholics can receive ashes as long as they have beleive in God

I was researching about Ash Wednesday and I came across this topic. In the catholic church, ashes being sacramental may be given to anyone who wishes to receive it as opposed to the sacraments.

If we miss Ash wednesday Mass,can we go to the priest tomorow and ask him to bless us with the ash?

Can the priest do it perhaps within the next days Mass ? or could he just do it sometime out of the Mass?
