Ashamed of Poverty

I think we as a society need to move away from all materialistic things and instead focus on the individual. It all starts with schools willing to accept the idea that children will benefit from wearing school uniforms.

I am an RN and frequently have contact with the underclass in my job.

I see a lot of practical dysfunction in this socio-economic class. There is unwed motherhood, lack of planning, poor health habits, lack of ability to plan for the future, drug, alcohol, and tobacco problems.

The poor needs life coaching, less coddling, encouragement toward stronger families and marriage. Our government needs to stop penalizing marriage
