Ask a priest a private question

I’m sure this has been asked before here, but is there any way I can message a priest privately on here? I’m a non-practicing Catholic looking to become practicing and have no confessor to go to. I’d rather not ask my question (that contains personal details) on a public forum. If there are any priests here willing to hear my question it would be greatly appreciated.

why not go in person? Emailing, texting, and messaging on a public board when dealing with private matters is not always wise.
 
I agree, that’s why I was looking to message a priest privately. If that’s not possible on here then the alternative is to go in person.
 
from what i remeber on the old forum, clergy and religious faced a lot of problems being on here , or publicly acknowledging that they were on here, as it made them targets for just flat out trolling.

A good priest will be willing to talk to you in private before or after mass, or you can always leave a hand written note at the parish office an leave a phone number or address to have it responded too.

catholic answers used to have a phone number you could call to speak to their priest. does anyone know it? i couldn’t find it.
 
This may sound silly but there are many good priests on Facebook that would be more than happy to discuss it with you over private message. Don’t know if you follow any but even the more popular ones seem to be very open. I guess you’d want to make sure it’s actually the priest and not a staff member if they are famous outside of Facebook.

ETA: If it’s something super personal I’d recommend meeting in person. Sorry, missed that part of your post.

It’s not super personal, just too personal for a public forum in my opinion. Not sure which priests on Facebook you’re referring to.
 
I originally responded with “Ask a Catholic Priest” on FB, but I don’t see a place to message them. So, if you are interested, here is Ask a Catholic Nun instead 🙂
