Ask for the ancient paths - Jeremiah 6:16

Jeremiah 6:16

Thus says the Lord:
“Stand by the roads, and look,
and ask for the ancient paths,
where the good way is; and walk in it,
and find rest for your souls.
But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’

I really like Jeremiah. A lot.

The path makes me think of the “Holy Way”.

Isa. 35:8,54:13-17 - In the Old Testament, the Church is described as a Holy Way, free from error.

Acts. 9:2; 22:4; 24:14,22 - In the New Testament, the Church is the “Way” from Isaiah where fools will not err therein.

Perhaps this is what Jeremias is also talking about… the Holy Way
