Asking for opinions

Please be very careful when creating threads asking for an opinion about a particular group, religious community, parish or person. These threads have a tendency to deteriorate very quickly into gossip, speculations, character assassinations and hurt the good name of individuals and groups. Very often, when you ask this kind of question, you open the door for people who have an ax to grind or an agenda. The answer that you get is negatively biased.

Limit your requests to opinions on an idea rather than on people or organizations. Those questions should be asked in private of those who are familiar with the subject.
