after finding out that most of my third grade students do not have a children’s picture Bible, I have decided to send a letter home asking parents to add some Catholic books to their Christmas list.
Here’s my suggestions:
Catholic children’s picture Bible
Saint stories–I haven’t decided on a specific book yet
Angel in the Waters– I read this in class and the kids were enthralled.

My Path to Heaven
Princess and the Kiss for the girls
Squire and the Scroll for the boys
The Weight of the Mass
How about suggesting a subscription to Magnifikids?
Any other ideas?
Should I include a list of recommendations for the parents–or is that too condescending?
Is it better to just ask them to get picture Bibles and not suggest anything else, so they won’t feel overwhelmed? Am I over thinking this?
