In the title, on Sunday. I should have posted then, but meh…

It was amazing, from the Syriac hymns to the deacon singing in Arabic. I had to abstain from Communion, but I hope to go again.

The only thing is that I felt clumsy flipping around the Anaphoras during the second part of Mass/Qurbono. Plus, I wasn’t sure whether to stand or kneel or sit during Communion.

Any advice to better understand and get into the Mass/Qurbono and other feedback from your experiences would be appreciated.

That’s great that you finally attend Qurbono!

The pages to be used for the liturgy are usually announced or posted somewhere in the church.

No kneeling, just standing and bowing and plenty of signs of the cross, including as a triplet (a sign of the cross for each Divine Person of the Holy Trinity) a couple of times or so.

That’s great! I went my first time when I was in Greer. It was in Syriac/Arabic/English. I understood little Arabic, none of the Syriac, and all the English. I’d advise you to go again, if you live near it (I live closer to the Melkite temple)👍

For me it is the hymns. Read the hymns. I dont follow along much anymore and just listen. Attune. Listen to the prayers. I am usually in tears by the communion hymn. Heaven opens up and the angels have come to stand with us. I am glad you were able to experience it.

The Chorbishop of the Maronite Cathedral for the Eparchy of Our Lady of Lebanon is my dear friend and Spiritual Advisor. I am Catholic in the Latin Rite, but I try to attend the Maronite liturgies whenever possible. He is teaching me so much about this beautiful rite. I am so very happy you found the Maronite liturgy and its beauty.

Blessed Lent to you and yours…
