Hello.
I’m 22 years old, and wanting to join a church. (On my own…)

With this Holy Week approaching, I’ve decided it’s a good time to face my fears and join the church I’ve been wanting to join. (My fears have been holding me back.)
But, I’ve finally decided to go this Sunday.
The church website says they’re having a Sunrise Easter Mass.
It has a person’s number listed, which I am going to call tomorrow to see if it’s alright for me to join in on the mass.
It’s not in a church, it’s outdoors. Do you think it would be a good idea? Would I be imposing? Should I wait until the normal Sunday service?
I’m really nervous. I haven’t been to a Catholic Church in many years. But I want to begin again.
Please help me.

Also, what should I wear? Normal church attire?

Thank you!

You wouldn’t be imposing at all. Go ahead and call if you have questions (like what time to arrive to get a seat :)). Why wait?

You could ask what to wear so you don’t feel like you stand out but don’t stress about that.

The motion and has been raised and I second. Please go, it is never a ‘wrong’ time to go to Mass. I am proud of you for seeking a Parish you wish to join. So neat a story to hear and my heart leaps when I hear of stories like this.
Welcome home!! Stay for a while Jesus only offers eternity 🙂
