Attending Mass as aspiring Catholic

After many years of dancing around, I have decided to begin RCIA and investigate converting. Are there any rules I should observe while attending mass as a non - Catholic? What are the best ways to participate without overstepping bounds or missing opportunities to connect? Any advice would be much appreciated.
