Does anyone else do this

1-I am very well versed in the bible and catholic theology and except all the church teachings

2-I go to Protestant bible studies that I find on line
3-when we have a discussion I will announce the catholic belief on a passage, or tie it into a catholic belief
4- I pass out holy cards with the picture of Jesus
5- talk to the lead pastor after the main surmon where he missed something such as where mortal sin is in the bible 1 John 5:16-17

Is anyone else doing this ??

Not since I now know that Catholics belong in a Catholic Bible Study group. Why not lead one since you’re educated in the faith.

Because my niece had an abortion because she was taught once saved always saved they are teaching there is no sin that you can comitt that had consequences.

I’m sorry about that :(:(😦

Btw, a similar topic (re: whether or not to join non-denom. Bible study) was covered by Catholic Answers. One of the many things it said is that the participants in the groups aren’t looking for anything more/different. Rather, they’d be very interested to convert you, since they’re often taught Catholics are living in error and are doomed to hell. They’re trying to help in a way they know. My past experience with non-denon Bible groups and Awana programs jibes with that and although they’re probably helpful for them, I would never recommend anything, but Catholic Scripture Study, & Catholic Bible camp (“VBS”) to a Catholic. (We do, however, work side-by-side w/ them to help feed the poor and homeless). Anyway, my answer here doesn’t give the Catholic Answer’s attention to this topic justice. You may want to just check it out yourself.
