Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Today, Aug. 20, is the Memorial of St. Bernard who once said: “De Maria, numquam satis” – “Of Mary, never enough”.
St. Bernard’s love and zeal for the Mother of God is similar in so many of our saints. I’m personally grateful to the University of Dayton for all they are doing to increase the knowledge of and love for our Blessed Mother, in our own time. This University is administered by the order founded by Ven. Fr. Charminade, himself a devoted son of Mary. HERE is a great example of their work online.
To St. Bernard, is also attributed the beautiful prayer called “The Memorare”:

Blessed Saturday – “Mary’s day” to all!REMEMBER, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly to thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.
