Aug. 8, the Feast of the Fourteen Holy Helpers invoked against plague

St. Dominic is of course the big official feast for this day on the current calendar, but historically this was also the feast day of the Fourteen Holy Helpers, invoked against the plague (and other ailments and catastrophes). The litanies against Coronavirus that have been circulating usually include the Fourteen Holy Helpers. Here is a good article about them.

Just to clarify that Pope Nicholas V attached indulgences to devotion of the Fourteen Holy Helpers in the 15th century, but these no longer apply.
