I believe this is a quote on the Eucharist by St. Agustine. “O sublime humility! O humble sublimity! That the Lord of the universe, …”

Does anyone have a good, complete online reference/link for this where I could read the whole text in context? I googleed it and spent 1/2 hr and got nowhere.

God’s Blessings to All !!!

Yes, it’s a quote on the Eucharist:

“O admirable heights and sublime lowliness!
O sublime humility! O humble sublimity!
That the Lord of the universe,
God and the Son of God,
so humbles Himself
that for our salvation
He hides Himself
under the little form of bread!
Look, brothers, at the humility of God
and pour out your hearts before Him!
Humble yourselves, as well,
that you may be exalted by Him.
Therefore, hold back nothing of yourselves for yourselves
so that He
Who gives Himself totally to you
may receive you totally”

It’s written by Saint Francis in Letter to all the friars, and the whole letter is here: oll.libertyfund.org/index.php?option=com_staticxt&staticfile=show.php%3Ftitle=1172&chapter=83192&layout=html

Thank you sooooo much:bowdown:
Do you know which atricle/paragraph it is in? 😊
Sort of fried and a bit lazy I must confess. 😃
