“All authority is from God,” says St. Paul. But I find this statement problematic. If thia is true, then it follows that God authorizes Kim Jong-un brainwashing and executing anyone he doesn’t like. Political power, from my observation, seems more like something only the ambitious and ruthless can attain, rather than being divinely granted.

“There are no true knights just as there are no true gods. This world is run by swords and strong arms. Don’t let anyone tell you differently.” -Sandor “the Hound” Clegane, Game of Thrones
“Ideas don’t determine who is right. Power does. And I have power, so I am right”. Jonathan Irons, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
Does anyone have a response to this? Sorry if I seem confrontational, but I want to express my true thoughts. I want my statements to be refuted. However, the responses I could think of were not satisfactory. They all were some kind of “God allows it for a greater good”, or the nauseatingly bad “mysterious ways” cop-out.
