Mt1618

I suppose this isn’t really where this question belongs, but I can’t find a more appropriate location.

Is there any sense in which it is proper to say that the Father has authority over the Son (or either or both have authority over the Holy Spirit)?

Jesus is the begotten Son of the Father and the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son.

Seems everything started with God the Father in which Jesus and the Holy Spirit followed immediately after.

Yes. “But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God (understood as the Father).” 1 Cor. 11:3.

Whatever sense that means, clearly it is proper in some sense to that the Father is the head of Christ, the Son.
