As you are making your summer plans, your options are endless. We invite you to come to the middle of nowhere! Leave your busy schedule behind and enter into monastic time where the day flows around chanting Psalms, Eucharist, simple work, talking about what matters, appreciating nature, good food and fun…
*This retreat is open to single women without children who want to explore God’s call to contemplative monastic life.
Take time…
A typical day…
6:30 AM Lauds (Morning prayer)
7:30 Eucharist
8:15 Breakfast
8:45 Monastic life session
9:30 Work
12 PM Noon prayer
Dinner
Dishes
Free time for prayer, getting outdoors, reading, napping, visiting, etc…
4:00 Monastic Life session
5:30 Vespers
Supper
7 PM Compline (night prayer)
Some evenings have scheduled events and other are free for your relaxation and reflection
What to bring…
For clothes, please bring something nice for Sunday. The rest of the week, slacks, skirts or jeans may be worn in chapel.
For outdoor work and leisure, bring shorts and some old clothes.
Please do not bring crop tops, sleeveless blouses or short skirts.
Linens and towels are provided, please bring your own toiletries.

Plan not to use your cell phone except for emergencies.
You may wish to bring money for visiting the gift shops here and at Conception Abbey.
