I searched Ave Maria Grotto and found a few posts several years old. I wanted to re post about this beautiful shrine in Cullman, Alabama. My family and I visited today. It is located adjacent to St. Bernard Abbey and consists of miniatures of the holy sites of the world recreated from recycled materials. Most of the work was created by one man over 50 years in the early 20th Century. Brother Joseph Zoettl, a Benedictine monk originally from Bavaria, ceated the shrines for people that could not travel to see them in person. His grand design being the Ave Maria Grotto in the center. I highly recommend this beautiful holy place to anyone whether you are Catholic or interested in Catholicism.
