my point is that this personhood is a totally arbitrary fiction. it is bestowed upon some fetuses by mothers who give them nicknames and play mozart for them,y.
It is God, along with the parents, that bestow the personhood upon the baby. The actions of the parents either acknowledge this, or don’t, but they do not change it.

The war in Iraq is not over.
Sure it is. Most Iraqies are so tired of the insugents that they give them away now. It’s over, but we need to stay there to ensure it doesn’t turn into another radical Islamic State. Besides that it is a good beachhead for the rest of the region so we will most likely stay there for some time, similar to Germany after WWII, or Korea.

I just hope the Catholics and Christian can survive there. I hope our continued presence in Iraq will protect some Christian and leave an open door for the Gospel.

I think the Army would be delighted to know this

Now a new reason to stay where we are not welcome. What about the Christians in countries we do not occupy or are friends with (e.g. China, Sudan, Pakistan, the entire Middle East, to name just a few)? Do we invade them too? Must those countries we ignore or wish to trade with be free to suppress Christians while we hold Iraq to a different standard?

It irks me when people attempt to justify secular interests with religious concerns. This is not a religious state and our foreign policy is not written in heaven.

We don’t need the state to make this happen because we are free to do it. Where democracy spreads Christianity should be right there with it. Not that Christianity needs democracy, but under islamic rule Christianity and evagelization is outlawed.

It’s time to pull out of Germany and into Iraq. Let Germany fend for themself. The Islamic people need us more to help free them from oppression.

But, to bring us back on topic, we should kick all the baby killers out of office in our own country first. Any country that kills it’s own children won’t survive.

I don’t think we need any pro abortion candidate to become president. Young people need to wake up and smell the coffee (even though it doesn’t taste all that great) and really investigate that person whom they are about to vote for. I for one will not vote a pro abortion candidate into office. And I don’t think we as Catholics can either. The fate of any innocent child is not just one issue. I know killing a child is one of the worst crimes to humanity that one can do or support
