While discussing homesteading and a desire to move away from the negative daily influences of an over-crowded and over-media-saturated modern life, a friend of mine suggested reading about the back to the earth movement in Remnant Magazine. To date I have not been able to find any such articles but I can point you in that direction. Please share if you do find anything
I have a feeling it what Bishop Leferbe referred to as moving away from the “world” and back to being one with the land which draws us closer to God.
*And I wish that, in these troubled times, in this degenerate urban atmosphere in which we are living, that you return to the land whenever possible. The land is healthy; the land teaches one to know God; the land draws one to God; it calms temperaments, characters, and encourages the children to work. *

This is akin to the Christian concept that we are ‘not to be of the world.’

Ezekiel 36:24-28
For I will take you away from among the nations, gather you from all the foreign lands, and bring you back to your own land.
I will sprinkle clean water upon you to cleanse you from all your impurities, and from all your idols I will cleanse you.
I will give you a new heart and place a new spirit within you, taking from your bodies your stony hearts and giving you natural hearts.
I will put my spirit within you and make you live by my statutes, careful to observe my decrees.
You shall live in the land I gave your fathers; you shall be my people, and I will be your God.
