Bad Netiquette from me or the Parenting Site?

I have sent an email to the woman who runs this site and is also the responsible party for my name-outing:
I told myself I was not going to come back and post anymore after the removed anonymity of my posts. I understand the posting climate here a little bit more now, though I don’t think anything said by myself or others was inflammatory. I do understand that I perhaps should not post about comments so much as about the article itself. I can see where deletion of the post would have made contextual sense in keeping the discussion on topic, if that is how your site runs.
I think that deleting a post or emailing the person would have been the high road, and the website ought to consider removing the anonymous feature all together or more clearly delineating what an “itchy trigger finger” means” I understand that it was foolish of me to provide an email that contained my actual name, but I felt really violated. If you really feel that anonymous posts are generally done out of some cowardice or mal intent, then please consider removing the ability rather than setting traps.
I understand this is your corner of the internet and you can do whatever you want. I understand that I provided an email address with my real name. I have thanked you for shortening it to contain less of my name, because I am a generally polite person. I have continued to use that shortened handle that you assigned me out of respect for your website. I cannot imagine I would continue in that(posting) much longer because I do not feel safe or comfortable on your website due to my own security oversights and your unexpected actions. I don’t expect that to mean too terribly much to you. This is not an “I’m leaving”, slam door speech because I was never much of a presence here in the first place. My main motivation in writing you centers around what you did. I understand that posts can be edited or deleted, but I was not given the impression that you would use the provided email in any way other than to perhaps contact the person. Again it is my own oversight, you never made any claims of a privacy policy. I wrote you because I do think that you acted rather rashly and I don’t want you to do it to anyone else.
Sincerely,
G.Rich

I agree with the other posters that what you posted was fine, and I just wanted to say that I hope you do not decide to tone down what you say just because some other people took offense where there was none to be taken. We need as many articulate and nice people as we can get 🙂
Well, I gave it one last shot:
Mkb I have read and re-read your post. I have considered the possibility that I am projecting something. It is possible that is the case. It is also possible that this is a community of relatively like-minded posters and my different perspective sees things in what some have said which they do not see. I will resign that it is a little bit of both.
I don’t feel a personal injury or insult and have never expected people to admire my intellect ESPECIALLY ON THE INERNET! . That would be a bit self-important, and I know how small I am in the grand scale of things. I am a big picture kind of gal. (Probably because I am a Sociology teacher) The insult I perceived was to religious experience in general.
The notions expressed in many of the comments(not so much the post itself) here are really very modern and seem to take for granted the role that organized religion or less organized belief has played in the vastness of human history. Modernity does not wrongness make, but the historian in me hates to see institutions that do have a long rich cultural and intellectual history tossed aside as un-intellectual, stifling, restricting or a hindrance to self-actualization.
I take no issue with any of you being atheists or agnostics and feel no concentrated disrespect from those two really diverse camps. It would be quite silly to come to a place like this for a conversation like that. As I said in a previous post, I find it admirable that you would NOT raise your kids in a way that is inauthentic or forced on your part.
I am not trying to be anything other than conversational and polite, but I do not think that is the impression I have made to some of you.

If someone sends threats over that post… wow. They must not get out on the internet much.
Unfortunately, some bullies never grow up and leave the playground. Cyber bullying is just not something that younger people do. Our local paper just ran a story on a local woman that was cyber bullied and it started out on a message board and lead to the woman being stalked in real life.
